authority structures condition us to obey rather than understand the reason
across all these systems, the same pattern emerges: we’re rewarded for accepting answers, punished for asking
this trains us away from questioning. we become comfortable with obedience, uncomfortable with doubt
the result is a population that follows rather than thinks and never develops the moral courage to interrogate the systems that govern us
it is easier to follow than to lead yourself and take life in your own hands
